A Word about Terri
Dr. Terri Gonzales is our play therapist at Preston Place Counseling. From the moment she held her first job in high school, she knew that whatever she was meant to do in life would involve working with children and helping others.
She received both her masters and doctoral degrees from the University of North Texas in Counseling, where she specialized in Play Therapy and was individually mentored by some of the most internationally respected therapists in the field.
In 2014, Terri received the Association for Play Therapy Student Research award for her dissertation research on the effectiveness of Child Teacher Relationship Training with children exhibiting disruptive behavior.
