A Word about Hearing and Being Heard
A Word about Hearing and Being Heard
“Safe Conversations” is the name of the workshop my colleagues and I present twice a year. As I have said before, it is the best vehicle to promote relationship connection and safety that I have ever seen! It teaches us (couples and singles, adolescents and adults) how to hear each other and be heard thoroughly and respectfully.
Our workshops are the result of a collaboration between Preston Place Counseling, Prestoncrest Church and Relationships First, so we can offer them at no charge, including workshop materials, meals and child care! (You can’t beat a deal like that.)
As you can see, February 16 is the next workshop date, two days after Valentine’s Day. What better gift to your spouse, your friends and your family than to invite and encourage them to carve out 6 hours during which you all will learn speaking and listening skills most people don’t know?
I hope you will register for and participate in this event. (Just click on the above image to be directed to the registrations site. You will receive a confirmation via email.)
I hope those of you who are therapists will encourage your clients to do the same.
Please feel free to forward this to anyone you think might benefit.
I hope to see you there!
